There is power, power, wonder working power in the Blood Of Jesus.

It's your blood that cleanses me

It's your blood that gives me life

It's your blood that took my place

In redeeming sacrifice

It washes me whiter than the snow , than the snow

My Lord Jesus, God's precious sacrifice.

Power in the speaking blood

Revelation 12:11 : "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." They overcame him by the blood of the lamb. This does not give us a picture of Christians sitting down doing nothing and expecting the victory of Christ to drop on them like ripe apples. "They overcame" denotes that it took a process of time. They were doing something. They were pleading the blood. The blood always overcomes the enemy. It might take time but it always overcomes. This is especially true when you first begin to use the blood. As your revelation in the power of the blood increases so will the authority of Christ available to you increase. Pleading the blood is a something we should do continuously and persistently. This is very important in spiritual warfare just as it is necessary in other areas of spiritual growth.

For example : How often should we ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit? Ephesians 5: 15-20, Acts 5:31

How often should we study the word? Colossians 3:15-17, Luke 6:46-49

How often should we pray? Colossians 4:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

You will find the answer to all the above questions is - always and fervently.

The same is true of pleading the blood. The secret of success in any area of life is persistence - Luke 12: 5-12. The sprinkled blood speaks. - Hebrews 12:24. Remember that when we plead the blood of Jesus the blood contends and protects us from the powers of darkness. It speaks on our behalf. It speaks better things than Abel's blood that cried out for vengeance. Jesus blood speaks of our rights in Christ - forgiveness of sins, the defeat of satan e.t.c. In confessing and pleading the blood it would help us greatly if we confessed the same things that the blood speaks.

We close this short study on the blood by looking at scriptures that speak about the blood. They give us an insight into the things the blood is speaking on our behalf. It would help you greatly if you confessed out what the blood is already saying on your behalf. You can use your own words. I have used an example after the first scripture. Colossians 1:13-14 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. (NKJV)

Confession:

In the name of Jesus I hold the blood of Jesus against every power of darkness that attempts to hold me in bondage. I have been delivered from the power of darkness and walk in the kingdom of light. No forces of darkness has any hold over my life. The blood of Jesus has washed away my sins and I am free indeed.

Hebrews 9:12 : "Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption." (This speaks of the access to the father the blood provides)

1 Peter 1:18-19 : "knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, [like] silver or gold, from your aimless conduct [received] by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." (We have been set free from our past by the blood)

Revelation 12:11 : "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (The blood overcomes every oppression of the enemy)

Romans 3:24-26 : " and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished -- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. (NIV)" (The blood makes us righteous and justified before God. Use this confession to resist any condemnation satan might bring)

Colossians 1:12-14: "giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." (NKJV) (You can use this confession to resist and attack any wile or bondage satan tries to bring against you)

Hebrews 9:18-22 : "This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. When Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. He said, "This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep." In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." (NIV) (The blood cleans us and sets us apart for God's use. The blood of Christ opens up God's provision for us)

Hebrews 10:19-24 : "Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds." (NIV) (The blood of Christ gives us access to the presence of God. You can make this confession when your flesh or satan wants to stop you from worshipping the Lord)

Hebrews 13:12-15 : "And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise -- the fruit of lips that confess his name." (NIV)

1 Peter 1:2 : "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood ofJesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied." (We can sprinkle the blood over ourselves or over our loved ones and receive all the protection, sanctification and provision the blood supplies)

1 Peter 2:24-25 : "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." (NIV) (The blood was shed for our physical healing)

1 John 1:7-9 : "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (NIV) (The blood allows us to walk in the light, i.e. it brings us revelation and insight in Christ)
